Using antique pots and pans and
other historic cooking utensils, Alice Ross is our guide on a culinary
tour through time. These tools and the history they represent are what
stirs Alice in the classes she teaches in her cooking studio in Smithtown,
New York. Her unique curriculum consists of subjects like basic hearth
cooking, early American cookery, seasonal preserving, game cookery, basic
American cookery and its ethnic origins, and other culinary pursuits you'll
find nowhere else.
So please step into Alice's
Studio, or look into the unique courses
she has to offer, or you can just learn more about Alice.
If you are adventurous, you might want to try one of her recipes
from our American heritage.
Alice also writes a monthly
column in "The Journal of Antiques and Collectibles" entitled Hearth
to Hearth where Alice describes and puts to use many of the household
cooking utensils used by forefathers.
