![]() ![]() ![]() Alice Ross brings to the Hearth Studios, 20 years as a dedicated food professional, teacher and collector. She has served as consultant in historical food for such noted museums as Virginia's Colonial Williamsburg and The Lowell National Historical Park in Massachusetts. She has presented numerous academic papers and published popular and scholarly works. She teaches at various colleges, amoung them Queens College (City University of New York), specializing in graduate and undergraduate courses in food and culture. Mrs. Ross wrote her doctoral dissertation in food history at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. An avid gardener and naturalist, she enjoys collecting old books and pots, and is a passionate cook. She is a member of the International Association of Cooking Professionals and a co-founder of the Culinary Historians of New York. |
